The daughter of the late Macau casino king, Laurinda Ho, got married with a Chinese-Canadian actor, Shawn Dou after dating for nearly 4 years. Laurinda Ho and Shawn Dou’s wedding ceremony was romantic as well as lavish in Bali on 18 April, 2023.
The Location
The Six Senses Uluwatu Bali hotel, which has unbroken ocean views from every angle, served as the venue for Laurinda Ho and Shawn Dou’s wedding. The hotel is situated on a cliffside and has a view of the Indian Ocean while being surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Laurinda and Shawn choose to hold their wedding under a glass canopy. The stunning view definitely enhances the romantic atmosphere for the wedding.
The Decoration
The wedding wholly planned by the groom, Shawn, starts from choosing the wedding venue to wedding music. Shawn decorates the wedding venue with flowers, crystals, and larger-than-life set pieces like crystal chandeliers and a grand piano in order to match with the endless ocean and sky backdrop. Moreover, Shawn wants to surprise Laurinda, so she is fully not knowing of the decoration until the wedding location is ready.
The Apparel
According to the report in Hong Kong, this wedding cost around HK$50 million (RM28.2 million). One of the most striking is the couples’ clothing. The Chinese gown (Qun Kua) and cheongsam, are custom-designed by Nora Reve, a local Chinese brand, paired with Chow Tai Fook wedding series gold bracelets and diamond ornaments that are worth over one million.
Apart from that, Laurinda’s wedding dress is from the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, an American fashion designer.
The wedding shoes were customised from Roger Vivier; the tiara is from Graff, while the jewellery is Dior’s haute couture Rose Dior Bagatelle series.
On the other hand, both Shawn’s white tuxedo and oxford shoes is from the China brand, Mr. Dandy. Besides that, the designer concealed two little hearts in the clothes and sewed Shaun and Laurinda’s names next to them.
It is undeniable that the overall look of both of them produce a wedding like a princess and a prince.
